Discount Suits When Times Are Tough

By Victor Santerino

The big recession has brought more attention to the individual balance sheet than any other event in recent years. People want to save money anywhere they can, and business clothing is no exception.

Stores are yearning to sell consumers discount suits as much as people are yearning to buy them. I wrote this article to give you a better idea of where to find these discounts.

In the past I have encouraged consumers to check out thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, and online stores. However, the recession has expanded my recommendations on where to look for discount prices.

The department stores have now become a great place to look for discounts. Stores like Macy's and Sears are desperate for customers and are slashing prices almost as much as Wal-mart.

Store closings are another great place to find fantastic deals. Companies like S&K menswear are starting to close some of their less profitable stores and are giving their suits out at rock bottom prices.

When searching for local used clothing a great place to start is craigslist.com. This website will list many local places and may even have pictures and descriptions of the items so you won't have to leave your house on a chance.

Shopping local thrift stores can be a fun way to save money on local used suits. However, this is not always the most efficient way to quickly find some nice suits.

Web sites all over the world can provide suits at much lower prices than most brick and mortar stores. These companies have fewer overhead costs and as a result you save money by buying from them rather than a traditional store. - 16755
