Free Makeup and Beauty Products

By MakeupGirl

Makeup is a lot of fun to experiment with. But it is not a lot of fun to waste money on makeup products that you use once and never use again. We've all done it; we've bought that lipstick because the color looked so pretty, but somehow just didn't look the same when we put it on. To try to save money this year, Ive vowed to only make purchases of makeup Ive tried before. How do I expect to do that? I plan to find makeup samples to try before I invest in the product.

Makeup samples are readily available and most of them are free of charge. The first rule to getting makeup samples is to ask. If you find a product that looks interesting that youd want to try, go the makeup counter at a department store and ask if they have any free samples. In many cases they do.

It is not uncommon to get samples as part of a gift if you make a purchase from a cosmetic counter. Usually the samples are given out if you buy a product that is more than a set dollar amount. Just because the samples are usually only given out if you make a purchase, doesn't mean the cosmetic company might not be willing to give you a sample for free. It never hurts to give it a try and just ask if they'd be willing to give you a sample. The worse that can happen is they say no.

If you are like the thousands of people who don't have a department store with makeup counters nearby, thanks to the invention of the internet, you still have access to makeup samples. If you enter makeup samples or free makeup samples in a search engine, several different websites will come up.

The company may have you fill out a survey. Sometimes they do this so that they can gather information about their target market. They are more interested in the demographic information - like general shopping habits, age and interests of the people who like their products.

Once in awhile, you'll come across a survey that is pretty long. I would say that you should stick to the shorter, easier surveys unless you are filling out a survey for a product you really want. Even though you are getting something free out of it, your time is still valuable and you should make sure your time is well spent.

So instead of spending your money on makeup products you don't even know if you'll like before, think about looking for free samples. Samples are an easy way to make up your mind about products without breaking the bank. - 16755
